The Benalla Police Station project is being developed to replace the existing police station in order to meet the present and future demands for policing in the local community. The new police station will be built to the south of the existing station on the same site including a secure custodial link connection to the existing adjacent courthouse building. The existing Benalla Police Station will be demolished upon completion of the new police station.

A more functional, modern, and flexible police station with purpose-built offices and areas is envisaged, providing staff with a pleasant and efficient working environment, whilst also providing an appropriate customer entrance and service area. The new station will have sufficient capacity to accommodate current and future staffing requirements to service the region.

This Main Works package will enable the existing station and courthouse to function at full capacity whilst the new station is under construction.
